Germany has officially accused Russian military intelligence of an attempted attack on a Ukrainian Antonov cargo aircraft at Leipzig Airport. German officials say explosives were planted aboard the aircraft, the detonator malfunctioned, and DNA evidence links the operation to Russia.

The EU and NATO are standing firmly behind Germany as European leaders warn that Russia’s hybrid operations are designed to intimidate Ukraine’s supporters and fracture Western unity. President Zelenskyy, meanwhile, is condemning Russia’s attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure and its effort to make children participants in the war.

This morning, Germany has been attacked by homemade rockets fired near a major power plant in Eastern Germany. German authorities are currently investigating as the country is on high-alert for the possibility of further attacks. Meanwhile, Russia’s largest Baltic Sea port of Ust-Luga is currently burning after suffering major damage from a large scale Ukrainian drone attack as Putin’s ability to keep the Russian economy afloat starts to crumble. Meanwhile, Russia has launched a massive attack on the border of Ukraine & Romania causing an attack drone to fly into Romania and crash onto NATO territory armed with an explosive device. And meanwhile in Iran, US forces have just launched a new series of strikes along the coast as Iran has continued attacking ships in the Strait of Hormuz. It’s expected that hostilities may escalate rapidly in the coming days.

Vladimir Putin used a bizarre killer-whale-and-polar-bear analogy while speaking to students—and then connected that “food chain” directly to Russia’s war against Ukraine. But Putin’s rhetoric is only one part of a much larger warning emerging from Russia and Eastern Europe.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk says the next seven to eight months could be critical for Ukraine, Poland, and the entire region. He warns that Russia appears to be preparing for escalation and cites assessments that Moscow may seek to mobilize another 600,000 soldiers. At the same time, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov says there are no grounds for improved relations with NATO or the European Union and accuses Europe of mobilizing its military potential against Russia.

We also examine the devastating explosion near Kyiv that killed 37 people. President Zelenskyy acknowledged that a major ammunition storage facility was located where it “definitely should not have been” and promised a full investigation. Finally, we look at Putin’s meeting with Alexander Lukashenko and a serious strategic problem facing Washington: reports that U.S. missile and air-defense inventories have been heavily depleted by transfers to the Middle East, potentially complicating American contingency planning in Europe and Asia.

The Kremlin has now publicly responded after the CIA director’s trip to Moscow—and Dmitry Peskov’s message was unmistakable: Russia says its offensive continues, negotiations over Ukraine are “deeply on pause,” and Moscow claims the battlefield remains in its favor.

We examine Peskov’s statements, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski’s warning that NATO should accelerate its defense preparations, and Alexander Lukashenko’s striking comments about a “common problem” in southern Belarus and southwestern Russia ahead of his meeting with Vladimir Putin.

Ukraine is also continuing its long-range campaign against Russian military and energy infrastructure. Satellite imagery discussed in the video shows damage to a Tu-95 bomber at Engels-2 airbase, while strikes on Russian oil infrastructure continue. At the same time, Russia is heavily targeting Ukrainian commercial and logistics infrastructure, including Nova Poshta sorting centers and Epicentr locations.
