او همچنین به حملات صورت‌گرفته به تأسیسات دریایی جمهوری اسلامی در دریای خزر اشاره می‌کند و این موضوع را نشانه‌ای از گسترش دامنه درگیری‌ها می‌داند. واحدی تأکید دارد که در این میان، پدافندها و سیستم‌های دفاعی روسیه واکنش مؤثری نشان نداده‌اند، مسئله‌ای که پرسش‌های جدی درباره نقش و موضع مسکو ایجاد کرده است.

در ادامه، وی احتمال وجود هماهنگی میان نتانیاهو و ترامپ را مطرح می‌کند و معتقد است این هم‌راستایی می‌تواند نشانه‌ای از شکل‌گیری یک استراتژی مشترک علیه جمهوری اسلامی باشد؛ موضوعی که در صورت صحت، می‌تواند معادلات منطقه‌ای را به‌طور قابل توجهی تغییر دهد.
