Art Arthur of the Center for Immigration Studies joins Mike Baker on The PDB Situation Report to examine a dramatic surge in terrorism-related encounters at the southern border.

With more than 11,000 encounters recorded at southwest border ports of entry, Arthur explains why the numbers have skyrocketed—and why they don't necessarily mean thousands of known terrorists are attempting to enter the country. He breaks down how tighter border security is forcing smugglers and cartel members toward official checkpoints, how new terrorist designations are changing enforcement, and how criminal networks previously exploited gaps in Border Patrol coverage.

In this episode of The President’s Daily Brief:

• Saudi Arabia may be preparing to dramatically expand its war against the Houthis, as Syria considers sending as many as 20,000 troops to Yemen to support a much larger ground offensive.

• New reporting reveals an alleged Iranian plot to use drones against U.S. military bases in Germany and potentially kill American troops, while a separate drone strike has hit a major Russian data center operated by Yandex.

• South Korea has successfully tested a domestically developed hypersonic glide weapon as Seoul races to keep pace with North Korea’s advancing missile capabilities.
