Over the last 24 hours, some extraordinary statements have come directly from Russian officials, propagandists, Vladimir Putin—and Donald Trump.

Putin-appointed Kherson governor Vladimir Saldo describes people in occupied Oleshky as optimistic and growing stronger despite severe conditions. Maria Zakharova blames Ukraine for the humanitarian disaster there while also warning that European weapons factories supplying Ukraine could become Russian military targets. I examine Ukraine’s claim that its Third Army Corps captured more than 250 Russian servicemen during Operation Vivaldi in the Lyman direction, alongside reported recaptures of Novyi Ridkodub, Katerynivka, Karpivka, and Novomykhailivka. The Russian Defense Ministry had not publicly addressed the footage discussed here, but prominent Russian milbloggers—including Oleg Tsaryov and Rybar—were already asking whether Moscow’s silence was worsening a real battlefield and credibility problem.

I also look at the reported use of grenade-launcher ground robots against Russian shelters, an amphibious unmanned ground vehicle’s 40-kilometer logistics mission, and the Bessemer 1100 reconnaissance UAV. The US military has a drone problem and the solution sits in Ukraine.

It’s not the tech or the manufacturing, both items that we could tackle and scale tomorrow. It’s adaptation. Warfare right now is changing faster than any time in history.

What works today, may not work tomorrow. With how long it takes us to develop and deploy new technologies, it’s likely that what we roll out to our soldiers is best case no longer the ideal solution, worst case, it’s already outdated, bordering on useless.

One company that’s working to resolve this issue of rapid adaptation is Delian. Delian is a European defense company that builds their products in Ukraine based on real time feedback from the front and are showing how this method could be adopted by other countries around the world.
