We are now learning this Monday that Duane "Keffe D" Davis was found guilty of murder in the 1996 killing of rapper Tupac Shakur. Jurors reached their verdict on Monday, just hours after attorneys on both sides made their final arguments before the court. Davis was charged with a single count of first-degree murder.

The NYPD have confirmed that there was a police-involved shooting in Times Square. According to our partners at FOX 5 New York, there is currently a large police presence in the impacted area. Local authorities have confirmed that there is currently an investigation near West 42nd Street and 7th Avenue. LiveNOW has all of the latest updates as we continue to learn more about this story.

Newly released video shows the U.S. military seizing and sinking a vessel that was suspected of being used as a floating gas station by a prominent narco-terrorist group. On Friday, the Marines and sailors from the USS San Antonio intercepted the floating refueling station in international waters of the Pacific Ocean and boarded the vessel. The U.S. service members searched the vessel, took everyone aboard into custody, and then sank the ship, U.S. Southern Command explained in its post.

The jury weighing Lindsay Clancy's fate asked to go home for the evening and has been dismissed until Tuesday morning, ending another day of deliberations without a verdict. The panel of nine women and three men, led by a female foreperson, must decide whether Clancy was criminally responsible when she strangled her three children, or whether, as the defense argues, she was in the grip of postpartum psychosis and could not appreciate the wrongfulness of her actions or conform her conduct to the law. Prosecutors contend she knew right from wrong and acted deliberately.

Flash flooding in Bright Angel Canyon prompted emergency air evacuations at the Grand Canyon on Aug. 29, anchoring a day of severe monsoon weather that brought blistering heat, blinding dust and dangerous flood threats across Arizona. National Park Service crews initiated an aerial evacuation of "approximately 50 individuals" from the Phantom Ranch area after floodwaters surged through the canyon around 2:30 p.m.

خلاصه:
دونالد ترامپ با اعلام حمایت کامل از بنیامین نتانیاهو در انتخابات اسرائیل، بار دیگر جمهوری اسلامی را تهدید کرد و گفت اگر تهران رفتار خود را به‌سرعت تغییر ندهد، آمریکا و اسرائیل «کار را تمام خواهند کرد». نتانیاهو نیز از این حمایت استقبال کرد و گفت هنوز ماموریتی باقی مانده که باید تکمیل شود. مقام‌های جمهوری اسلامی از جمله عباس عراقچی و سخنگوی سپاه با ادبیاتی تهدیدآمیز به این پیام پاسخ دادند.
هم‌زمان، ترامپ اعلام کرد روسیه در حال حاضر کمک چندانی به جمهوری اسلامی نمی‌کند و ابراز امیدواری کرد این وضعیت ادامه پیدا کند. نتانیاهو نیز همکاری مسکو با تهران را کاملا برخلاف منافع اسرائیل دانست. در همین شرایط سرگئی لاوروف به تهران رفت و با پزشکیان و عراقچی درباره امنیت خلیج فارس، تنگه هرمز و طرح پیشنهادی روسیه گفت‌وگو کرد.
عباس عراقچی از آمریکا خواست طرح هفت‌بندی تهران را بپذیرد. طبق ادعای او، در صورت پذیرش شروط جمهوری اسلامی، تنگه هرمز در روز ششم باز و مذاکرات در روز هفتم آغاز خواهد شد. شورای همکاری خلیج فارس نیز تاکید کرده هر توافق احتمالی با تهران باید علاوه بر برنامه هسته‌ای، موشک‌ها، پهپادها و حمایت جمهوری اسلامی از نیروهای نیابتی را شامل شود.
در جنوب تنگه هرمز نیز سپاه پاسداران از برخورد یک نفتکش با مین دریایی و وقوع انفجار در موتورخانه آن خبر داد. نام نفتکش و وضعیت خدمه اعلام نشده و وقوع حادثه هنوز به‌طور مستقل تایید نشده است. آمریکا هم در یک هشدار امنیتی از شهروندانش خواست به ایران سفر نکنند و اگر در ایران حضور دارند، فورا کشور را ترک کنند.
در داخل جمهوری اسلامی، پرویز سروری مدعی شد تهران توان حمله به اروپا و حتی آمریکا را دارد. محمد مخبر نیز تهدید کرد اگر نیروگاه یا پتروشیمی ایران هدف قرار گیرد، جمهوری اسلامی تاسیسات ۹ کشور را خواهد زد. در مقابل، مارکو روبیو گفت تمام نقاط بحرانی خاورمیانه به جمهوری اسلامی و نیروهای نیابتی آن بازمی‌گردند.
آلمان نیز سفیر جمهوری اسلامی را در اعتراض به پرونده طراحی حمله علیه دو چهره سرشناس جامعه یهودیان احضار کرد و هشدار داد چنین اقداماتی پیامدهای قانونی خواهد داشت.
بخش دیگری از برنامه به ناآرامی‌های گسترده فرانسه اختصاص دارد. شمار بازداشت‌شدگان به ۲۳۹۷ نفر و تعداد نیروهای پلیس و امدادی زخمی به نزدیک هزار نفر رسیده است. ترامپ مهاجرت را عامل اصلی بحران معرفی کرد و از فرانسه خواست مرزهایش را ببندد. مکرون وعده برخورد قضایی قاطع داد و مقام‌های فرانسوی خسارت واردشده به حدود ۱۵۰۰ کسب‌وکار را چند صد میلیون یورو برآورد کردند. هم‌زمان، جدال لفظی عراقچی با مکرون و پاسخ تند وزیر خارجه اسرائیل، پای جمهوری اسلامی را نیز به مناقشه سیاسی فرانسه باز کرد.

در تهران، محمدجعفر قائم‌پناه، معاون مسعود پزشکیان، اعتراف کرده تولید بنزین پاسخگوی مصرف داخلی نیست و جمهوری اسلامی به‌دلیل محاصره دریایی آمریکا نمی‌تواند بنزین وارد کند. بر اساس آمارهای اعلام‌شده، تولید روزانه بنزین حدود ۱۱۵ میلیون لیتر و مصرف نزدیک به ۱۲۹ میلیون لیتر است. هم‌زمان، تعطیلی موقت شماری از جایگاه‌ها و تشکیل صف‌های طولانی، نگرانی از افزایش قیمت بنزین و آغاز اعتراض‌های تازه را افزایش داده است.

در بخش هسته‌ای، محمد اسلامی اعلام کرده آژانس بین‌المللی انرژی اتمی تا زمان تدوین و تصویب پروتکل‌های جدید اجازه بازرسی از مراکز هدف قرارگرفته را ندارد. پولیتیکو نیز گزارش داده جان رتکلیف، رییس سیا، در سفری اعلام‌نشده به مسکو از روسیه خواسته حمایت نظامی و اقتصادی از جمهوری اسلامی و ارسال تسلیحات و فناوری‌های دفاعی به تهران را متوقف کند.
در تحولی دیگر، وزیر علوم و فناوری اسرائیل گفت شاهزاده رضا پهلوی خیلی زود و با قدرت به ایران بازخواهد گشت. هم‌زمان، وزیر ارشاد جمهوری اسلامی از ارائه فهرستی شامل بیش از صد چهره ایرانی خارج از کشور برای بازگشت به ایران خبر داده است؛ آن هم در شرایطی که دستگاه قضایی حکومت پیش‌تر حساب‌ها و اموال ده‌ها هنرمند، ورزشکار، روزنامه‌نگار و فعال سیاسی را توقیف کرده بود.

در داخل ایران نیز بحران انرژی ابعاد تازه‌ای پیدا کرده است. دبیرکل فدراسیون صنعت نفت ایران گفته حدود یک‌سوم ظرفیت تولید گاز در تاسیسات پارس جنوبی بر اثر آسیب‌های جنگ از دست رفته و تعمیر پالایشگاه‌های آسیب‌دیده دستکم یک‌ونیم تا دو سال زمان خواهد برد. همزمان با افزایش نگرانی‌ها درباره کمبود بنزین، قالیباف با افزایش قیمت سوخت مخالفت کرده، در حالی که سخنگوی کمیسیون انرژی مجلس از بررسی نرخ چهارم بنزین و احتمال رسیدن کسری روزانه بنزین به ۱۵ میلیون لیتر تا پایان شهریور خبر داده است.
در عراق، حمله پهپادی به دفتر نخست‌وزیر اقلیم کردستان با محکومیت آمریکا و تکذیب نقش جمهوری اسلامی همراه شده است. العربیه نیز گزارش داده نچیروان بارزانی در ماه‌های اخیر دو بار با اسماعیل قاآنی دیدار کرده و در چارچوب میانجیگری محرمانه میان تهران و واشینگتن پیام‌هایی را منتقل کرده است.
در دیگر تحولات منطقه، آمریکا خواستار خلع سلاح حزب‌الله شده و یک مقام آمریکایی این گروه را مسئول ادامه حضور اسرائیل در لبنان دانسته است. جرد کوشنر نیز گفته به حماس فرصت داده می‌شود پایبندی خود به تعهداتش را در عمل نشان دهد و روند خلع سلاح و غیرنظامی‌سازی غزه می‌تواند ظرف ۳۰ روز آغاز شود. در یمن نیز ارتش این کشور از انجام ۱۳۳ عملیات علیه حوثی‌ها طی ۲۴ ساعت خبر داده، در حالی که حوثی‌ها مدعی حمله پهپادی به پالایشگاه آرامکو در جیزان شده‌اند.
در کانادا نیز دادگاه فدرال درخواست سلمان سامانی، مقام سابق جمهوری اسلامی، برای توقف روند اخراج را رد کرد و آژانس خدمات مرزی کانادا اخراج او را تایید کرده است. همزمان پیر پالیِور، رهبر حزب محافظه‌کار کانادا، اعلام کرد قصد دارد با شاهزاده رضا پهلوی دیدار و او را به کانادا دعوت کند.

Today, there is amazing news from Ukraine. 

After the US administration put a major restriction on Ukraine’s ability to defend itself through Starlink, Ukraine’s allies turned up in massive numbers to provide as much assistance as they can. Assistance numbering in the billions of euros is now flooding into Ukraine, along with new undisclosed weapon systems that begs the question of what Europe has sent next. 

The need for this aid could not be more urgent, as currently the United States administration has imposed a one-hundred-mile or one-hundred-sixty-kilometer per hour speed restriction on Starlink connections throughout Ukraine. This completely undermines Ukraine’s ability to defend itself against conventional and jet-powered Shahed drones, as Ukraine’s interceptor drones need to keep up with speeds exceeding four hundred to seven hundred kilometers an hour to intercept them. Subsequently, Ukraine has been victim to a continuous barrage of these Russian drones over the past days, resulting in air raid alerts sounding almost continuously and close to four hundred civilian casualties in only four days.  

Fortunately for Ukraine, European allies have stepped up and provided Ukrainians with extremely urgent air defense aid to protect the skies against Russian strikes. Currently, the United Kingdom has sent Ukraine an unknown quantity of lightweight multirole missiles; most likely the short-ranged missiles that Ukraine uses to intercept fast-moving targets like cruise missiles and jet-powered Shaheds. Poland has also provided Ukraine with confidential assistance to protect against Russian air strikes. Donald Tusk added that he wanted to assure Ukraine and Ukrainians that they are not alone, and could count on Poland and the EU. France is similarly organizing a new massive package of air defense aid to send to Ukraine as soon as possible, but is keeping the quantity and type of systems it will send a complete secret. Additionally, France has just completed their side of the Freya European anti-ballistic missile system development, and has transferred all the promised production licenses to Ukraine, which will enter factories shortly.  During Zelensky’s visit to Belgium as well, Ukraine was given a large ammunition package for the F-sixteens in service. These jet fighters have proven to be crucial in the interception of fast-moving Russian strike weapons, particularly the jet-powered Shahed drones. Additionally, Belgium will deliver more of its F-sixteen fleet to Ukraine by the end of the year, with the transfer of such systems being a more significant undertaking. 

The European Union as a whole also organized its next massive tranche of aid to Ukraine, with over two-point-eight-six billion euros dedicated to the procurement of air defense systems and missiles for Ukraine. This follows another massive tranche of nearly one billion two hundred forty million euros dedicated to the domestic Ukrainian production of interceptor drones and missiles the week before. Earlier this month as well, Germany has provided Ukraine with a full Iris-T air defense battery. They have also dedicated over a billion euros worth of funding for the production of thousands of missiles for the Iris-T air defense system, as well as for the production of interceptor drones capable of downing jet-powered Shahed drones. Finally, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, and Spain have provided additional patriot interceptor missiles, experimental anti-drone missiles capable of taking down jet-powered Shahed drones, alongside other air defense and F-sixteen ammunition packages. 

Overall, Europe’s quick response in stepping up to aid Ukraine now that the situation has taken a turn for the worse is important. Much of the aid that has been sent is undisclosed, giving Russia zero ability to anticipate Ukraine’s defenses and adjust its strike strategy accordingly. Czech president Andrej Babis stated that pursuing peace does not mean accepting Russian ideas, and Trump has let them down by doing business with Putin behind their backs, so they have to do something. Europe has no equivalent to the military use of Starlink that can be deployed quickly at scale to Ukraine, also lacking early warning capabilities to ballistic and long-range strike launches. However, Europe is sending what it can and is currently scaling up what it cannot yet provide, giving a promising forecast for future support for Ukraine against the Russian invasion and terror strikes.

Russia’s worsening air-defense crisis is now forcing the Russian command to urgently put ordinary civilians in improvised military units, sharply increasing the number of deadly accidents, which we will review in this report. Authorities in the Krasnodar Region have announced that employees of local enterprises will be recruited into mobile fire groups tasked with protecting factories, infrastructure, and other rear-area targets from Ukrainian drones. Workers will reportedly receive fifty-thousand rubles, or around five-hundred-and-thirty-seven euros and sign contracts with the Russian Ministry of Defense, although officials insist they will not be deployed to active combat zones. The measure reflects Russia’s shortage not only of air defense missiles and functioning air-defense systems, but also of trained personnel capable of operating them across the country’s enormous territory.

However, the arrangement contains a serious risk, as once a civilian signs a Defense Ministry contract, that person falls under military authority, regardless of verbal promises from regional officials. More importantly, mobile fire groups would usually require careful selection, discipline, communication and coordination, and extensive weapons training. Simply giving factory employees rifles or heavy machine guns and ordering them to shoot at drones is unlikely to create an effective defense. Instead, poorly trained crews waste ammunition, fire into populated areas, or bring down aircraft directly onto the civilians they are supposedly protecting.

Russia’s desperation is understandable because Ukrainian attacks are becoming relentless, and even Russian sources admitted that approximately three thousand Ukrainian drone and missile strikes were observed during a single week. The geography of these raids is also expanding beyond Crimea, border regions, and Moscow toward the deep Russian rear. At the same time, Ukrainian drones are becoming faster, more resilient to Russian electronic warfare, and increasingly difficult to stop, meaning improvised mobile teams with almost no training are already struggling against threats beyond their capabilities.

The catastrophic consequences were demonstrated on a crowded beach in Gelendzhik. Russian air-defense personnel fired at and shot down an incoming Ukrainian drone without considering where the wreckage would fall. The aircraft crashed directly among beachgoers laying on the sand and exploded in a massive fireball. Seven people, including three children, were reportedly killed, while more than sixty others were injured. Russian officials accused Ukraine of deliberately targeting civilians, but videos filmed by bystanders contradicts this, and clearly shows how Russian air defense had brought the drone down onto the beach with complete disregard for the consequences.

The incident became even more disturbing because the mobile group was reportedly protecting not an essential military facility or major industrial site, but one of Vladimir Putin’s residences near Gelendzhik. Russian civilians therefore died because an inadequately trained crew prioritized preventing damage to Putin’s vacation home over calculating the danger to hundreds of people below. After the Russian accusations, Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Ukrainian Centre for Countering Disinformation, said in a statement that it was Putin who killed these Russians, and had he not started the war, the strikes on Ukraine, and forcibly put untrained personnel in charge of heavy weaponry, these people would still be alive.

Russian training footage demonstrated how reckless these improvised formations can become, as during one exercise, a mobile fire group mounted a heavy machine gun onto a truck. The weapon was originally designed for the Mi-Twenty-Four helicopter and was not intended for manual ground operation. Its recoil and weight caused a soldier to be thrown from the vehicle, the gun shooting uncontrolled in all directions and nearly turning the exercise into another fatal incident for everyone involved.

In Russian-controlled Sevastopol in Crimea, the danger came directly from an armed serviceman, who was given a weapon without proper selection. He opened fire on fellow soldiers, killing one and wounding another, before shooting civilians as well. Three civilians were killed and three more wounded before the attacker was detained. The event demonstrated what can happen when armed personnel are deployed without proper screening, combat, or psychological preparation.
