Tonight on *24 with Fardad Farahzad*, military tensions between Washington and Tehran rise again after Iranian missile attacks on U.S. positions in Jordan and the UAE. Donald Trump promises a “very severe” response, while Tehran warns that any new U.S. attack will be met with a much larger retaliation. The renewed confrontation follows U.S. action against Iranian efforts to lay mines in the Strait of Hormuz, putting the strategic waterway once again at the center of the conflict. Trump also calls the Islamic Republic a failed regime and says Iranian officials should face trial for crimes against humanity over the killing of protesters. At the same time, Washington says its maximum-pressure campaign will continue, with new sanctions expected every week, while debate grows over whether economic and military pressure will ultimately force Tehran back to negotiations.

Ukraine has delivered a powerful 24 hours: a new campaign against Russia’s Ozon network, another reported target destroyed in the Samara region, and major Russian military losses documented by Ukraine’s defense forces. Those losses include aircraft, air-defense systems, radars, and a mobile ballistic-missile launcher.

Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin insists Ukrainian strikes are producing no significant change and will never give Kyiv an advantage. Greg examines five false Kremlin narratives, including Putin’s attempts to blame Ukraine for starting the war, portray Russia’s attacks as retaliation, and justify strikes against Ukraine’s economy and civilian infrastructure.

The evidence tells a different story: Russia is being forced to defend strategic facilities, repair damaged infrastructure, reposition air defenses, and confront growing pressure from Ukraine’s long-range campaign. Europe is also moving forward with new partnerships and additional air-defense support for Ukraine—but serious vulnerabilities remain.

155. Kensington’s Last Cry: Fentanyl’s Deadly Grip on America’s Streets - Homeless in America

Kensington, a neighborhood in Philadelphia once known for its working-class roots and community pride, has now become the epicenter of one of America’s most haunting crises. On its streets, fentanyl has unleashed devastation unlike anything seen before. People wander like shadows of their former selves, overdoses happen in plain sight, and entire blocks have been transformed into open-air drug scenes. This documentary takes you deep inside Kensington’s last cry, where the fentanyl epidemic and the homelessness crisis collide, raising a chilling question: is this the future for cities across the United States?

The tragedy unfolding in Kensington is not isolated. It is part of the larger story of homeless in america, where addiction, poverty, and broken systems push thousands onto the streets every year. In Philadelphia’s Kensington Avenue, you witness firsthand the impact of failed drug policies, a lack of affordable housing, and the growing despair that grips countless families. Each tent, each face, tells the story of dreams lost to fentanyl’s deadly grip.

But Kensington is more than just a warning. It is a mirror held up to the entire nation. From Los Angeles to New York, the same patterns are emerging: communities overwhelmed, emergency services stretched thin, and lives cut short too soon. Homeless in america is no longer a distant issue—it is visible in every corner, in every major city, and in towns that never expected to face such despair.

This documentary captures the raw and painful truth of Kensington’s streets, but also challenges viewers to reflect. Will America find the courage to address the roots of this crisis, or will we watch as fentanyl and homelessness redefine our future? The story of Kensington is a story of homeless in america, and it cannot be ignored any longer.

183. Florida’s Forgotten: The Homeless No One Sees ☀️ Homeless in America

“Florida’s Forgotten: The Homeless No One Sees” is a powerful documentary that reveals the unseen truth behind the Sunshine State’s bright image. While millions visit Florida for its beaches, theme parks, and endless sunshine, there’s another world hidden in plain sight — one of homelessness, struggle, and survival.

This documentary follows the lives of people living in tents, cars, and under bridges — the homeless in Florida who are often ignored or pushed out of view. From Miami to Orlando, Tampa to Jacksonville, these are the faces the world rarely sees: veterans, working families, and young people caught in the cycle of poverty and fentanyl addiction.

Through raw homeless interviews and on-the-ground storytelling, the film captures the heartbreaking reality of a place known for paradise but filled with invisible pain. The contrast is striking — palm trees and luxury condos on one side, desperation and hunger on the other.

“Florida’s Forgotten” asks a haunting question: how can a state with so much wealth have so many sleeping on its streets? It’s not just a homeless documentary — it’s a reflection of America today, where sunshine can’t hide the growing shadow of inequality.

The film is part of the Homeless in America series, shedding light on the silent crisis affecting communities across the nation. It challenges viewers to look closer, to care deeper, and to remember that every person without a home still deserves dignity, compassion, and hope.

Watch this story, share it, and help give a voice to Florida’s forgotten — the homeless no one sees.

97. Every day, the reality of homeless in America becomes harder to ignore. On the quiet streets of Iowa, far from the spotlight of big cities, the crisis feels even more devastating. This is not just a story about numbers or statistics — it’s about human beings. The faces of the homeless in Iowa reflect pain, addiction, and the crushing weight of neglect. For many, life in Iowa is portrayed as simple, safe, and calm, but beneath the surface lies a heartbreaking truth of homelessness in America that is spreading like a silent epidemic.

This documentary dives deep into voices often silenced, showing the raw struggle of people left to sleep in the cold while the system looks away. It is not only about hunger and addiction, but also about the dignity stripped from everyday citizens. The homeless in America crisis isn’t just happening in New York or Los Angeles — it’s right here in Iowa, in neighborhoods that could be yours.

Through the lens of this documentary, we confront what many choose to ignore. Through the hearts of those abandoned, we ask: how long will we allow this suffering to continue? This documentary is a wake-up call to remember our shared humanity.

Russia’s latest strikes on Ukraine killed 16 people and wounded nearly 50, while President Zelenskyy says Ukraine will answer with a justified and decisive response. In this update, I break down what happened, why Ukraine’s current long-range operations are not yet the promised retaliation, and why the continuing shortage of Patriot interceptors remains so dangerous.

We also look at a major new threat from North Korea: the KN-30 heavy ballistic missile, which Ukrainian defense intelligence reports can carry a warhead of up to 2.5 tons and reach roughly 900 kilometers. I also examine Russia’s missile stockpiles and production as Ukraine faces the continuing challenge of defending its cities from ballistic attacks.

Then we go inside Russia itself. Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak openly describes a “tense” second phase in Russia’s gasoline market, including export restrictions, fuel imports, refinery problems, and authorization for lower-grade fuel. Russian television also delivers another revealing moment as Popov describes personally witnessing three Ukrainian strikes while traveling through Crimea.

Ukraine needs air defense, but the pressure Ukraine is applying against Russia is also producing increasingly visible consequences. We look at both sides of that reality—and what it could mean next.

This morning, NATO has deployed large aircraft forces around Putin’s Kaliningrad region next to the Polish border in what appears to be a sudden and urgent show-of-force. We are currently monitoring ongoing developments. In the meantime, NATO has also deployed several aircraft toward Northern Norway as it’s believed that Russian submarines are on the move out of Murmansk for some unknown reason. Meanwhile, Moscow came under the largest drone attack that it’s experienced in the last two years over the past 24 hours, with more than 600 UAVs targeted the capital as explosions rang out across the area. Meanwhile, Dubai has come under a missile attack from Iran as warnings were sent out to civilians to seek shelter, which marks the first Iranian attack on Dubai in Months.
